I made my way to America from Colombia in 1998 leaving my son and wife behind, following a dream to provide a better life for them.
My first job started at a Shell Gas station that had a Mechanic shop outback, there I provided my tech services for 5 years.
I knew a change was needed on my journey, so at the turn of 2003. I decided to build my own shop behind my house. There the the dream grew, and I began to see the "Bigger Picture" for my family and I.
As Dr. Mechanic grew, I had to start thinking not only like an owner, but an entrepreneur. I partnered up with 2 other mechanic shops to establish strategic relationships with them, expanding our services for the growth of both our businesses.
Acquiring our inaugural mechanic shop marked a pivotal milestone in our journey, propelling Dr. Mechanic to unprecedented heights, where we can now expand our expertise and deliver top-tier automotive services with an even greater impact on our community and customers.
Amid the challenging times of COVID-19, we stood resilient as a family, forging a robust strategy to not only weather the storm but to also pivot and thrive in the face of new market dynamics. Our adaptability and innovation in response to the pandemic have strengthened our bond.

This is a great mom and pop family owned business! I've been working with them for over a year now and I've never had any issues. They do a good job at explaining what needs to happen and why. I definitely feel that they are honest and reliable. It is hard sometimes times because they are very busy, but that's understandable as a good mechanic is often pretty busy.

I've been here twice to get my car looked at, and they really go above and beyond to make sure your car's good to go as soon as possible. Never try to sell you stuff you don't need or make repairs that aren't necessary! it turned out that I was just overthinking and there was nothing wrong with my car. They told me it was fine and sent me on my way. A breath of fresh air compared to some of the other places around here.
The staff at Dr Mechanic are very professional and kind. They are honest and will tell you up front what the problem is and make their recommendations. They stay in touch with you from the time you put your vehicle in their shop. I was very impressed on how caring their staff is. Andrew informed me that my vehicles engine was going to have to be rebuilt and offered several options.

Brought in my 1998 Mercedes Benz SL500 for an engine fix, and Dr. Mechanic and his staff were able to take care of the problem in as little as no time! They had state of the art tools, to help complete their tasks, and also detected a misfire in 1 of my cylinders… If it wasn’t for them, I’d be looking for a new engine.
